question about soldering injector resistors w/ ecu plugged in..

after trying to troubleshoot my car for a while now, i just realized that i soldered some inline resistors in with my ecu still plugged in and my battery connected. is it possible to burn out my chip/ecu... by doing this. my car wont start now and i dont believe my injectors are firing because my plugs are bone dry after i crank it for a few seconds...
no, althought it's better not to solder a "live" circuit, I don't think you did any damage. your soldering tip just looks like a ground from an electrical standpoint. but since your car was not on while soldering there shouldn't be any injector pulses to short either way.
