Default quick question about hondata and the boost option..

if you run hondata w/ the boost option and after you get tuned with the boost, can you still run the car without boost in the future if you choose to do so?? just curious, cuz, if one were to blow his turbo, he could still drive the car with the hondata running the engine w/o any problems etc..

I would assume so. The ECU would operate as normal and never get into the boost parameters.

yes. from what i understand, the boost option adds additional fuel and timing maps to an unused portion of the ROM. when i think of what Hondata did to make their product, i am truely amazed.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I am using a 4b, and I am n/a ( have it so we can tune). The ECU only uses the boost maps if it reads boost.
