Good mounting place that won't scratch rims?
Hey guys in my area, I have to get my Azenis mounted on my K-1s before this weekend. Where is a good place, within 30 minutes of DC, that can mount/balance the tires without scratching them, as well as perform an alignment on my car?
Radial Tire should do it for you just fine. They charged me a flat $60 to get my tires mounted back in December. Then go around the corner and get aligned at Allen Automotive. They have the latest Hunter rack, with the beautiful color printouts. The gents at Radial can tell you how to get there...that's who they recommend. Expect to pay around $75.
Oh, by the way, these places are in Silver Spring, on Brookville Rd and Seminary Rd, respectively.

I remember when I was concerned about scratching my wheels.
Give it about one more year and you won't give a damn. The track is VERY mean to wheels, especially if you use an aggressive brake pad.
Scott, who's $225/each Panasports look like ****.

I understand in a while I won't care as much...but these are brand-new. They'll be powder-coated black eventually, so maybe it doesn't matter...
It all comes down to the guy actually doing the work. A place could have a reputation like no other for doing fantastic work, but if by some twisted fate you get the noob highschool tirechanger, well, **** happens.
a good shop wont have such monkeys working for them.

I almost purchased some Racing Hart CP035s from them yesterday. Too bad they don't come in a 15" size in my bolt pattern. Oh well, just as well as they cost almost 3x as much as the Kosei K1s.
