HELP ASAP-->YS1 Trans into EG which mount?
Lets try this again..only posting once
I need to know which top transmission mount do I use to install the YS1(cable) transmission into my 1993 Civic(hydraulic). I've got the conversion braket I have the wrong mount though.
Help ASAP is appreciated as this is my daily driver and my B16 is hanging not mounted in the engine bay.

Sell that tranny and get a hydro you'll be much happier in the end. You could possibly try a 90-93 integra tranny mount dont take my word for it though.
Thanks 93b16hatch, I tried using the mount that came on the transmission. This engine swap was pulled from a 1992 GS-R.
I know of the Hasport kit but I'm trying to get away with using OEM parts as to save money.
The reason I'm attempting to use the cable tranny is b/c I'm trying to save money and b/c of the gear ratio's.

I would say try Avid because they are pretty cheap but dont because I have the same Tranny (<333 the Gear ratios as well) The mount does not sit flush on the Tranny so I acutally had to cut a piece of the Mount out to make it fit just a LIL bit better but I still had to use spacers oh well umm try the Integra mount as well IMO

can you e-mail me any pictures of yours with the spacers you made up, please?
Yeah, that's why I really want to keep the transmission is b/c of the ratios are aggressive.
Is the 1994-2001 Teg mount supposed to work with a YS1 into an EG?

Didnt your conversion kit come with a mount? My HASPORT kit came with the proper mount. Buying the right mount from Hasport will save you time and money compared to trying vaious mounts to see if the might work.
Is your tranny the low-geared YS1 jdm cable one(the one that uses the 94-01 integra clutch)? If so you can find a hydro LS tranny case and swap the internals into the hydro case..
Use the HCP EG-18C conversion mount. We used it on our 93 coupe with YS1 LSD tranny for 2 years with zero problems - no dead pedal, nothing. I even tracked the car a few times with it and no problems. The Enjo/Avid ones are junk. They're actually shitty copies of the HCP one but with no R&D so it doesn't work well. Regardless of what people say (go with hydro because it's "better" my ***), it works perfectly fine as an alternative solution. And swapping the guts out and putting them into a hydro casing is not a direct swap. You still need to shim areas to make it fit. PM me for more details.

What shimming needs to be done? I swapped over a YS1's internals last night into a LS case and everything seems to be perfect with it..

Thanks for the pics DoctorVtec and Newman. I im'd you Newman. I just want what is least hassle and most reliable.
Is it possible to just change the bell housing on the YS1 to a hydro bell housing?

The bell housing is part of the tranny case so no, you cant just change that..

Thanks Newman and JDMshit.com.
UPS
The HCP top tranny mount is installed...I just need some more direction for the placement of the other pieces.

Newman, can you please tell me the tips and tricks to installing the hydro conversion now. I've e-mailed you at sales@jdmshit.com and the picture you keep sending me is NO help. I need verbal help if you don't have any decent pictures. You seemed confident that these parts were easily installed vs other kits however they don't seem to line up anywhere.
Do I have to modify these parts or are they direct installations???

Negatory on that one.
YS1

YS1
Oh I feel you on that one. But he could get a ITR tranny
And have good ratios and LSD
But in his case it's not cost effective. From my own experiences with motor mounts I would take HCP over any other any day (well except for Hasport). Try the HCP kit and I recomend buying from JDMshit.com / Newman good people

Ya, I agree Newman and JDMshit are good to buy from, I'm just in need of getting the HCP cable/hyrdo conversion to work and the instructions...are well they're aren't any. Just a really really poor picture that you can only see the clutch slave. If anyone else knows how to install the HCP cable/hydro clutch conversion kit please chime in.
Thanks
Thanks
