A22
Duh A 2.2 lol. I have never heard of a A22 motor. Where did you come up with that? I know honda does make a A20 motor. Which is a 2.0 Sinlge Cam from the late 80s. Do you mean a H22?
no, i didnt confuse it with the H series, im not a ****** idiot.
some chump is hatin on my friend sayin hes hot **** and aint got nothin.
my friend drives a 93 cx with a B16A swap/full catback/intake/etc
and the guy whos talking **** on him drives a shitty 87 accord and the guy goes " i got an A22 "
so Im thinking " I have no clue what that is and I would say I have quite a bit of knowledge about honda engines"
so yea...just makin sure the guy is full of ****.

Firsthand it's not a A22. I've got a 1987 Accord (3G) and it's a A20, no matter what year or efi/carb. Mine makes for a good beater. They are weak. They make some torque and have a streetable powerband, but you cant do much with them.
Hasport does make a mount kit for a b-series into them, but not an H. Only 2 guys have mounted a H in them, but neither run.

Just the entire valvetrain from cams to valves and rods/pistons. The crank is as good as any other Honda, and the engine block is closed deck, cast iron and bomb-proof.

You've hit the nail on the head perfectly here.

No they don't. PRI did, but they went belly-up.

Yeah that's the biggest perk, the closed deck, iron block. Too bad there isnt a DOHC design and some more aftermarket support.
I was wrong about the mounts, it's been a while since I've read up on 3G's. I'm putting mine to stock right now, wish I hadnt dumped money into it. But yeah, PRI made them, and they are done.

the a22a is the motor that they use in 86-89 accord( asscot ) and 86+ lude over seas, still has everything from the a20 just differnt series number that they have
so it looks like dane thought he knew alot about honda engines but dosnt know much about older engines

Yeah. Well, one can always get the B20A @ 160 HP (EDM= 138 HP), those were in the Accords and Preludes stock. Too bad about the 95mm stroke and R/S-ratio in the 1.4*-range. But I hear some parts fits from the newer B-series, but I've never read more upon that.
