Hey. I got an 89 Civic DX Hatch. You are all probably familiar with that infamous nasty gold color Honda has been putting on their cars for years. You know... You see it on old ones and even Acura uses it on new cars. Well that is what color mine is. I would have passed it up if the exterior wasn't in practically spotless condition. It is still beautiful. Anyway... The interior on this car is BROWN! I hate it... I don't mind the gold that much. It is in such nice shape that it has grown on me but brown interior isn't growing anything but a nasty nasty dislike. So what did i do... I did some research with some ex-car restorers and found out some really good vinyl paint and stuff. My friends dad used to own a restore shop so he hooked me up. Last weekend I started the project I am taking apart the interior and repainting it black! I have the whole dash and front console area done now and it looks awesome. You can't even tell it is painted because this paint works really well. I still gotta paint everyting else in the car which should be a whole bunch of fun. haha. Also I am gonig to order a black carpet kit for it too. I will try to get some pictures up sometime.

Man, DIY rocks. I'm removing my interior because its torn up, dirty, and the car has been sitting for so long who knows whats gotten in it.. I feel like I itch when I get in it, from that foam stuff from inside the seats thats coming out...

So I'm gonna take all mine out, clean/bleach the interior of the car, and start on my own interior redo down the road!
