Help! Lovefab SST Manifold doesnt sit flush with head
What do i do, my lovefab ramhorn style manifold wont sit flush with the head so it doesnt seal and i can barely make boost, plus it sounds terrible. please help, this is my daily driver.
The flange on the manifold might have warped.
Check it to see if thats the problem, not sure quite sure on howd you would do that so search.
It thats the problem take it to a machine shop and have them fix it for you.

yes, most likely the headflange is warped. You can give it to a machine shop and resurface it or send it back to cody. Im sure cody will fix the problem w/o any hassle.
no the head flange is not warped its very even and the guy i bought it off is very honest and would have told me. there are these three piece of metal that are a few centimeters and it looks like the headflange i supposed to sit on top on these for support. i believe it is apart of the block it may the the head to close to tell.

what do the 3 pieces of metal look like? washers maybe and does the flange have relief cuts in it?

I think hes talking about the part of the block that sticks out a little bit. Right at the deck, between the head. Some manifolds with thick head flanges hit that part of the block and you may need to shave that part off the block or shave the manifold. Take a look at your motors. Youll see what im talking about.

Dude, you have the header right infront of you, I presume? We don't. Look at what the problem is and then fix it. Jeeze.
i had the same problem.
the manifold flange wasn't warped, but uneven from welding. i know about the 3 pieces that you're talking about. the thing i did dfferently was that i didn't mount it right away. i put it on a flat sufarce and then straight edge it.
it was uneven, so had a machine shop flatten it out.

sometimes they cut the flange in between the runners to allow the metal to relieve tension inside the manifold. this will sometimes cause the **** to move!!! big time. and then you have to have it machined. it will probably be like 100 dollars if its stainless. gl
