Use 89-91 LCAs, but get the Si LCAs if you want a rear strut bar.

you know, i didnt experience this 1/16" difference when i put all four EF, EG, DA and DC rear control arms next to each other. they all seemed exactly the same length. the only oddball was the DA arm had the shock mount further out, but thats it.

did you measure this yourself?

I read it in a article the guy measured rear arms etc etc. and the fronts.

He found that all teg arms were 1/16" longer. (UCA, LCA, compensator arm)

maybe the rear uppers, but i was able to stick a bolt through each hole and they lined up. 1/16th difference, i dunno my bolt check would catch that since bushings are all worn and stuff and wouldnt necessarily show it. but i have just found this not to be the case of any difference. id want to make more closer measurements myself before i agree to it. thats just me.

i myself have made this check, i used si lca's, dx lca's, and da lca's. the dx and the si were the same except the sway bar mount, and the da was like the si (same lenghth, i put the bolts through) except it didn't have that little curve in it (why's it there? can't be as a sacrifice if you hit a curb, cause the subframe still bends first) and the shock mount was farther away from the wheel, thus effectively decreasing your rear spring rates a little.

in fact, i think tyson has the set of si rear lca's i used in that comparison, yes the bushings were bad, but they weren't to the point of allowing 1/16 of play unless they were maybe under a LOT of stress.

on a side note, tyson, how are those LCA's working out for you?

hmmm.. i forgot i took this pic. oddly, im not sure how you saw it either... i never reformatted it to a viewable size until now (at least i didnt have the file before)...

anyhow.. i believe this is a comparison of EF vs EG rear LCA. the EG arm doesnt have the rear sway link because no US EG had a rear bar stock.

as for the bend or no bend, i dunno either. it seems kinda random whether the arm has the kink or not, but i havent paid much attention to it to figure out any pattern if present.

i know the washer trick, but you also need an alignment afterwards to correct your now apparent toe-in
