Default B16 problems need help

Alright I was driving yesterday with my car because i finally got temp tags, and I got a check engine light and later that night it was off. Well I was driving it down the highway at 65 mph, and it started to drag and I pished the gas and it just bogged massively, no throttle reponse what so ever. So I pulled over and shut it off and let it sit for a couple minutes then when I went to start it again it was backfiring through the intake and it ran for a couple seconds then died. Its a OBD0 B16 with a Y1 trans and it only has 92 miles on it since the swap was done by the shop.

in my expeience, bogging is usually in the ignition system- coil, rotor, plugs, etc... I would check those... The back firing is strange though, thats ususally a timing issue i think- check your timing belt, make sure it didnt miss a tooth or anything. did the shop do a tune up before they put the motor in?? I live just south of millersville, what shop did u go to, and what does ur rex look like, I might have seen it around.

It gave you a check engine light? What was the code? If it says crank angle sensor it is your distributor. The same thing happened when my distributor went out. All of a sudden it started to sputter like crazy. Also check to see if the rotor just didn't get loose too.

Mike at TSR did my swap, my car is a red 91 HF with polished blades.

Do you have aftermarket cam gears on your engine? If you do check to see if the adjusting screws loosened up on them. It happened on my car and pretty much did the same thing.

Does anyone know what mark is the right one on the crank pulley? I see one that looks silver that almost lines up with the arrows on the camgears.
