Default OEM Shifter

ok, so i got the car and it had a lame shifter on it. my brother bought the oem shifter on ebay and it came in the mail today with the boot and everything. everything was ok.

i go to the car to install it.. and i take out the ricer one. then i see LOTS of debris in the lito ring holder. i try to clean it out a bit.. but its hard, i cant get ne of the rubber chunks out. so i say screw it and try to fit the **** in, it doesnt fit.. and i notice that there is a screw spot on the bottom of the shifter, so im like, "oh.. suppose to screw it in"

i attempt to screw it in.. and it turns out it doesnt fit.. the metal stick is too big to fit in the hole.. then i came to a theory, the shifter was already pretty low, it seemed lower than stock, and he did not install a short shifter. i look at the stick again.. and it is cut off at a weerd angle..

"did he cut the ****** stick?!?!"

so yea, can someone confirm if he DID infact cut it or.. im a noob that is mada mada

edit: pix are blurry... walk it off

Take and cut the very top off with a hack saw.... it will work. Cut it as straight as possible. In my ricer days when i was 16, I cut my shifter and still was able to screw on a shift ****.....its just gotta be pretty straight.

Does Evasive make a shifter for your car? I bought one on here with the Honda-tech price and I think I paid $50 and thats because I bought the ES bushing too.

yo can you hook me up with some links, because seriously.. the ricer shift **** is lame.. its like a square.., the inside of it is rubber.. he juss cut out a lito hole with a knife or sumthin and shoved it in til it fit.
