Default Bizzare Clutch problem

Ok so last night I took my car to get inspected and everything checked out ok. I as I pulled out the parking lot my clutch seemed like it was very close to the floor. So I pushed on it a few times to shift like normal and noticed that it was ALOT more compressed then normal.

I got on the interstate and began cruzing at about 65 mph and tried to see if it was further than normal by pulling it back up with my foot. Sure enough it was sagging about 4 in. I played with it a few times then decided to just leave it alone and drive.

When I needed to shift again it was totally normal again. ???

Cliff notes: I drove my car yesterday and the clutch pedal was acting funny, played with it and left it alone for 5 min then back to normal.

Any ideas what this could be?

Hey,
I had a very similar problem with my 1996 accord. Did you check your clutch fluid levels? if not do so. If that's not the problem , check or have someone check your master and slave cylinders. I had to get my master and slave replaced by honda because i kept losing clutch fluid.

Best of luck,
- Brendan

God I hope not. I'm hoping it's just the levels I took the fluid cap off that morning so I'm guessing some how I let air in the line. It's never done that before so I guess thats why I thought it was odd.

if you just take the cap off the reservoir air is not going to get into the system if you still got fluid there ,,,,was the reservoir empty when you had cap off?? if so you got issues with master or slaver cylinder or lines leaking
