Where do these wires go?
On the driver's side of the engine bay, there are some wires that come of off the engine harness, and they lead inside the interior. They look like the go to the interior fuse box, but they got lost in a huge bundle of wires. They're the only wires from the engine harness that go inside on the driver's side- does anybody know what these wires do? Do they send information to the gauge cluster? Are the necesarry? Any help would be awesome, thanks
yeah, theres two clusters of wires there- one set leads to the inside, the others i think go to the lil resistor box I think it is. Im trying to find out what the ones that lead inside do.
Yeah, they lead from the engine (from the fuel rail i think) through the fire wall, and they get lost in the interior harness
there are quite a few engine sensors that run through there... get a helms manual.
Some are injector wires going to the ECU, some are sensors like Tandem on a DX... Why do you need to know?

Im swapping a d16a6 into a metro, and im trying to determine if i can run everything for the engine independent from things like turn signals, lights, etc., at least with regards to wiring. I was going to fab up my own fuse box for all of the things that would require the car to be street legal, i.e. brake lights, low beams, high beams etc... Is it possible to control the motor by just using the ecu? I mean will it run if i just hook the ecu up to it, power, and the starter wire from the ignition? Im trying to find out where those wires go, because Im afraid it might be some how go to the underdash fuse box, thus making things a bit more complicated for me.
