Default About How much HP will you get from a Pulley set like Unorthodox SS?

I just wanted to know how much power will they produce.. My friend has some AEM tru power pulleys that produces noticable power, but I heard they were bad.. I'm about to get some Unorthodox SS pulleys (used).. but there's a little knick on the powersteering.. will that make any performance difference?

They don't make any power at all.

Will the little knick on the powersteering pulley make any performance difference though?

6 WHP? or just 6 hp. 6 whp sounds a bit high to me. I'm new to preludes, but on an rx7 youd never get anything close to 6 at the wheels.

^^you are talking of rumor and about crank pulleys...check out Rick's thread on that....

as far as hp/money they are a good mod, especially because they are used, aka you pay less......

and the nick in the pulley will be ok as long as it doesnt get in the way of the belt....

So I was gonna get it used for $175 with the belts.. is that good price? lol i think it is.. how much is installation? I know how to install the powersteering pulley.. but the alternator and the crank will be very hard.. how much do you think I have to pay to install that?

The crank pulley is a bitch to install...as far as power gains...none...but you'll notice a difference in throttle response and timing. I'm running a set myself and love them very much. $175 is a pretty good price for the set. As for the little nick, like mgags said, make sure it's not in the way of the belt or else the belt will rub the pulley and it will create this squeaking noise...if the nick is in the way, you can try to bang it out with a rubber hammer, but make sure you don't bang it too hard, remember it's still aluminum and aluminum is soft..

You will notice better throttle response and torque, its worth it imo.
