obd1 conversion harness
I have a obd1 conversion harness with a P08 ECU and a JDM D15B VTEC motor in a 88' CRX Si. I am getting a check engine light and I was wondering if anyone knew how to make the check engine light flash the code as my ECU doesn't have a window with the LED light in it.................I remember someone saying something about connecting two wires then it will flash the code, but I cant remember. ANy help would be much appreciated, thanks.
i think the way i had this set up in my old crx was i had a switch to gound one of the wires coming off the ecu... sorry i can't remember which pin it was...
if you got a JKOBD conversion harness, its the blue and orange wire on the ECU jumper's pigtail.
You would tie those 2 wires together, then turn the key to the on position to check codes.
OR the correct way, is to wire them to a switch and flip the switch to the ON position.

I tried the blue and orange wire and twisted them together and turned the key to on, but nothing happened. Man I am in so much trouble with this wiring......before, my car used to run for like 5minutes fine, now it will start up SOMEtimes, for maybe 20 seconds then sputters and dies. I cannot figure this out I am so stuck on it I should of just stayed with the weaker engine and stayed Pre OBD....I am so about ready to just sell my car to some auction or something....it's just taking up space sitting there not running....this sucks. If anyone wants to help me out or come take a look at it you can...I will pay to figure this out once and for all.......thanks fellow H-T members for all of your help.

o ya and one more thing: I am running the obd-1 injectors that came on the D15B VTEC motor but the old plugs fit right on with no modification and I cut and soldered the 5 black/red wires BEFORE the resistor box. Yet I keep seeing everyone saying that you need to modify the injectors for them to work? I think maybe this is what is wrong with my motor and why it keeps sputtering and dying. I think maybe I did this wrong.

this is a pic of the injectors - r they supposed to be still the old Pre OBD injector plugs and wiring and everything?
Here is a pic of the 4 black/red wires connected to the black/yellow wire I soldered them together and taped them off before the resistor box

pics no worky
You removed the resistor box right lol you keep saying "before the injector resistor box" as if it's still there. It should no longer be there.
The OBD0 injector clips that are on your OBD0 engine harness will not fit onto OBD1 injectors.. if they do, they aren't OBD1 injectors.

w0w ok I think there is something seriously wrong....ya the pics work I just clicked them again to double check but either way ~ ya I just plugged the original pre OBD clips onto the obd1 injectors...I did no modifying to them at all. and yes the resistor box is still there I just never took it out of the engine bay. I cut the wires closest to the box after the plug but before the actual box and twisted the 4 black/red to the black/yellow the soldered them together and taped them off w the electrical tape pictured. I think maybe I have pre OBD injectors or something......I think this is my problem...... So does this mean I have to get OBD1 grey plug injector plugs/wiring? I am still using the pre OBD white plug injector plugs
electrically there is no change in the plugs, but physically there's no way they should have fit on OBD1 Injectors. I'm willing to bet those ARE NOT obd1 injectors.
You did effectively make their power source 12v+ by soldering all those wires together. That is correct for OBD1 injectors, wrong for Pre-OBD
