Default ys1 cable - hydro interchange question

I have a 92-93 jdm YS1 cable tranny(the short geared one).. A friend of mine has a LS hydro tranny..

Is it possible to swap the guts from the cable YS1 into the hydro LS tranny.. I know the YS1 is built like the hydro trannies but in cable form so I figured I might be able to swap out the internals since im going to a 92-95 civic body now with a hydro clutch..

Will the YS1 diff work in the case also or will I need to use a different diff with the YS1 ring gear.. Also if the YS1 internals wont go into a LS hydro, is there any other hydro tranny that they will go into?

Any info on this..

there is a way that you can drill and mount a clutch slave onto the cable trans so that you can use it in hydraulic cars. a couple of my friends have done this and have had no problems at all. i will try to get some pix so that i can show you. but that would be the easiest route and its not even hard to do.

Update on this.. The jdm YS1 cable internals will fit perfectly into the LS hydro case.. I had to use the ys1 cable shift forks, gear clusters, and diff.. The LS hydro shifter box and shaft can stay..
