It is going to be a long day on Saturday but well, well worth it. Leaving Denver at about 3:30am to get up the mountain and find some prime real estate. I'm so giddy I feel like a little girl. Look for a TON of photos sometime on Sunday...

just curious I've heard of pikes peak before but what kind of cars run on this? Is it like a rally event?

I remember when I drove to colorado I wanted to drive up pikes peak
then I saw a warning it said something like high altitude can damage your car, enter at your own risk

 

That shizz is crazy .....have a blast man!

Without really giving it much thought ... no.
As I recall the last close attempt was about 12-15 seconds off the 10 min. mark and I don't think there's been another effort quite like that since.

Who's to say ... tv coverage in August.

Pike's Peak was a place to test turbo engines for airplanes, back in the day!
