Need new carpet......Whats best?
A couple of years ago I replaced the carpet in my 88 HB, and the carpet I ordered SUCKED it didn't fit right and looked like crap. I had to cut all the holes for everything and it ended up a big mess.
Now I'm ready to replace that P.O.S. and I need to find a good quality carpet that fits correctly with all the right holes for the seats, belts, etc.
So my question is, who makes the best replacement carpet out there? Should I just order one from the stealership or will I get jipped?

ordering from honda is a guarented fit and will be just as good as your carpet that came in the car when it left the dealership for the first time.
They will rape you on the price tho. i bet someone knows how much it is but im guessing about 350 at the least. Thats just going off what i kno from dealing with honda direct parts. i bought brand new shift linkage and pedals to doa auto to manual swap and every nut and bolt to convert it coast about 550. so i would try to find another place. but for oem fit and quaility honda is the best.

Yeah that's your best bet.

OEM is obviously the best, however you can have an upholstery shop put one in for you for around $250. I bought my new carpet last year from an online aftermarket place and it sucks. They didnt mold it enought so the fit was horrible. I may have it redone by a profesional. Whatever you do dont buy a cheapy one, they dont fit very well!

Very nice. That's a pretty damn good deal if you ask me. I paid $120 for an "OEM fit, pre-molded aftermarket" one. Which brings me to my next point:

I actually bought my carpet from these guys after I saw them selling on eBay. The carpet wasn't too bad but I regret buying it. The color was good and the carpet was decent (7 out of 10). The big downside is that even though they say it's pre-molded or has OEM fitment, it just won't be exact. That **** took me and a buddy a mine, 4 razor blades and almost three hours start to finish to get that **** in there.
I'm no carpet installer but figured: Hey, I can do this. How hard can it be? It. *******. Sucked. End to end. You have to be ridiculously carefull or just get it in there and the carpet will be fraying around the seatbelt mounting points, seat holes and under the door sills.
My advise to you is to do what I did about 2 weeks ago. I bought a used carpet off of eBay in not too shitty condition for $50 shipped. Whenever I get back off my deployment, I'm gonna power wash the **** out of it and get nice and all cleaned up. After that, rip out that "OEM, pre-molded **** and kick it to the curb!
I honestly won't steer you away from buying an OEM one though. It's literally double price but nothing beats OEM. Carpet-wise anyway.
Hope this helps! Later.

If the carpet itself isn't too bad, go to an Autoparts store and buy the carpet spray paint. I did it to my car and that stuff looks mint. Leaves your carpet all crispy for about a week, then you vacuum it and it feels like brand new. I had the stock Si grey, now its a nice deep black and it looks like its brand new.
i ordered a pre-molded one offline for $180 and it wasnt quite long enough on the sides.. it wont fit under the kick panels! and i had to cut holes in it.. doesnt very great. go OEM or used but **** aftermarket
