Default B18C5 Troubles... hesitation?

Ok so I've built my own B18C5. Over the last year, ive pieced together an entire B18C5 swap and its now complete. I started with the transmission, then the block, then the intake manifold, cams and TB and now finally the head. The problem is this. Since the last part, of installing the head, the car doesn't run right. It idles fine and on part throttle it feels pretty normal, however on hard accelleration, 3/4 - full throttle it hestiates, BAD in VTEC, past 5.5k. Once it gets to about 7 or 8k, the power it back full bore, no problems. Yes, the oil level is fine. Now the head has aftermarket crower springs and retainters and Manley valves, but is running stock 00 ITR camshafts. All is torqued to spec. I did have to adjust the valves to get it to run, and they make a lot of noise so they have to be adjusted better. Car is running on a stock virgin JDM P30 ECU. Upon full throttle accelleration i also manage to throw a code 1 for O2 sensor. I haven't dived too much into this yet, just figured I would get your impressions first and any ideas. Below are the motor specs.

00 B18C5 Block/Head
97 ITR Transmission
Crower springs and retainers, Manley Valves
Mugen high comp head gasket
ARP head studs
Hondata IM Gasket
00 ITR Cams, TB, JDM ITR Intake Manifold
AEM CAI
JDM ITR 4-1 Header
SMSP High flow CAT
Apex WS Exhaust (Gen1)

Any thoughts or suggestions would help. Thx..

See thats what I was thinking... but would changing the head from a B16 to an ITR and the headers make THAT much of a difference? It all ran fine on a stock B16 head (w/itr cams) and stock B16 manifold... the only think I can think of is that its not getting enough fuel.

Wideband is on order, and should hopefully be here by the weeks end, so that will help.

Have you changed the fuel filter? Also do you have a FP guage? That would help to see if there is a fuel issue.

Fuel filter is fairly new, less than a year. I do have a FP Gauge and a B&M FPR. Set to about 42psi. The injectors are old 2nd Gen B16 injectors. They may not be working as well as I need. The FP gauge is under the hood so I can't really monitor it while driving under load.

Cam timing may be off slightly... I dont know if it will do this though. I will double check.

Once again, ECU? You aren't running some kind of halfass setup, are you? Alot of people run motors like this with a stock CRX SI PM6 ECU with an RPM activated switch (or some similar halfass setup) and wonder why why it runs like crap.

No half-assed setup. The ECU is a OBD1 JDM P30. Which ran fine on a stock B16 head with ITR cams and stock B16 exhaust. Now, it doesn't.

I do have a VAFC, but it is untuned. Im awaiting my wideband. I also have the parts to chip the P30 and install Uberdata or the like, just haven't done it yet.

Tune that **** :-)
I would recommend getting rid of your vafc & getting tuned on crome or uberdata

My buddy had a similar problem with his b16 at first... it ran like crap(hesistating) until 4.5k, it finally threw a CEL for 43( fuel system supply) and as soon as he changed it he never had the problem again, it runs strong... i would start with replacing the 02 and see how that works out for ya

dont run the wide band, just order up a stock OEM 02 from honda
