delsol convertable or not? rollbar specific?
As far as nasa, scca, ect is concerned. Is a delsol a convertable? I have attended HPDEs and I just finished reading some of the rules and now I have concerns.
The only information that I have at hand is the SCCA road racing rulesbook. For Improved Touring (the most typical place for a modified stock DS to go racing), an actual roll cage is required. There is a provision for cars like yours (or the X19, for example) to either:
1. Remove the rear window to facilitate the installation of rear staybars, down toward the rear strut tops. It can then be replaced with clear plastic. Or..
2. Attach the cage structure to the shell at the point where the stock shoulder harnesses mount, and run a "Petty bar" diagonally from above/behind the driver's head to the passenger's side front leg of the main cage, at the floor.
Don't know if that helps...
