roll cage rules
I know the guidelines for a legal NHRA legal cage, however some chassis does not allow for proper fitment. I am trying to order a pre-bent 10 point cage for a del sol S&W race cars, they allow me to customize the cage to my specifications, I want everything to look natural with all interior, functional rear window etc. For the rear support bars can they have a 90 degree bend in them to connect them to the shock tower, or can a bar coming from the rear shock tower to the main hoop be the connecting point for the rear support bars? I want to design this cage for the best driver clearance possible I am 6.1... I am stationed in Germany it will cost me 3000euros to build a cage thats around $5000 with me doing all the prep. from S&W its $290 with me being the welder using a mig with mild steel.
I don't think the S&W cage with a bunch of "customizations" will be as accurate as you think. It's not like they have a fleet of vehicles for every application they offer just sitting outside waiting to take measurements.
These pre-bent cages are not fab-free. Just a really good starting point.

as I wrote, I have the option to make modifications to some parts of the cage, as in the door bars, rear support bars, I just wanna know what are the legal modifications of the rear bars.
