My car has beaten me
So i've fought and fought with this car and i can't get this **** to work right
i've tried new vac lines, no boost control, blitz ssbc ebc, 2 new actuators and nothing helps the car will not boost a stable number it reaches stock boost sits for a second and then it just climbs and climbs. A external actuator would be ideal but im broke.. i've also pulled apart all the intercooler piping looking for leaks what could it be please help me out this car is driving me.crazy.

what kinda manifold are you using.
have you checked that for leaks?
what are you using to test for leaks, a pressure tester? or just using your eye.
details on the turbo, manifold and wastegate would help
platinum.

turbo is 14b stock actuator, its tilted but its been this way forever, and it doesn't matter how i bend it... i mean it matters on how fast the turbo spools but no mater what it holds at stock and then creaps bad at about 5k the manifold is an HF and its a sohc zc motor zdyne ecu, i havn't checked for leaks with a pressure tester but i have had all kinds of leaks in my intake piping b4 and it has never done this
this is the second actuator and when you presureize the actuator it opens fine... this is my 2nd one.. The boost goes to stock and then it just climbs after 4.5k HELP all i want is a stable boost setting..

You can't get a vac reading there...it has to be from your intake manifold...

Your vac should be reading -20 to -25psi if you got no vac leak.
Your wastegate & boost gauge should be hooked up to the intake manifold because that's where it all matters, since the air there has been cooled by the intercooler and is about to enter your combustion chamber. And your intake manifold is the only area that has vac.
fyi
When air is compressed really fast it gets very hot and when air gets cooled it drops a few psi.
You should of learned this in Physics!

well thanks for the physics lesson all my boost gauges and everything is run off the intake mani.. i guess the mitsu people don't understand physics then because they used the jpipe right off the turbo... and fyi my blitz ssbc boost controller is t-off the map sensor right on the intake mani so.... eaither way it reads the same... and eaither way its still way over boosting i think my next step is building myself an annoying *** dumptube..
You can run your source from your turbo...and it will allow you to run less actual boost.... its not uncommon for mfg's to do this. I know its done on DSM's, and WRX's. I would say your problem lies within your turbo. When you "jerry-rig" a wastegate setup...and then have problems with your wastegate....I'd say thats a pretty good idea what is wrong. I'm a strong believer in Murphy's law...what can go wrong will go wrong. So whats to be learned from this experience? take out all of the if's in your equation. the 14b actuator blows my ***. find yourself an external gate and have it put on....port the **** out of the housing weld up the swingarm hole, and put the gate on the o2 housing portion that is external. I believe some companies sell TiAL gates and o2 housings that are modified to do this.
Too much for a 14b? Get an internally gated garret turbo THAT FITS! or....get another turbo and use an external gate.
the HARDEST lesson I had to learn is...when ever you find yourself having a problem...its usually the thing that you said...we'll I'll make that the way I want it later, but it's fine for now. Well my friend, that time is now.
Good luck and remember...it's only money

haha its only money that i don't have
i realized i got this problem when i put a newer turbo on my car my old clapped out 14b didn't have this problem i beleive i am seeing boost creep caused by not enough air being able to escape out the wastegate and being pushed through the turbo, im going to make a downpipe with a dump tube and if their is still creep next is external wastegate

bump 4 idears... it does it WITH a spring even i took the actuator out of the equation it went right to 12 held then spiked diffrent boost but same affect
what kind of boost are you running? If you run super low boost, the CFM of the engine may exceed the maximum cfm capabilites of the gate. Especially if you're running a smaller actuator than normal
