My uncle has a 95 accord EX coupe and he claims that when he puts the tranny in drive, after 5 minutes the light begins to blink on and off. Any ideas what this is? Any help appreciated. Thank you

 

A possible tranny problem. Get it checked at a dealer service department.

 

So by this light blinking it is stating a tranny problem??? Is this stated in the manual or any other place?

 

The transmission computer is seperate from the engine computer. It is blinking a trouble code. You need the repair manual to get the trouble codes. If you can get your hands on one It may be an easy fix. Trans computer for 92 accord is $450. Hope that's not it.

Actually I went and looked at the car today and it remains blinking on D4. As I drove the car, the speedometer or odometer do not work. I would guess this is the speed sensor on the tranny. Am I correct? Anyone know where it is located? Thanks

 

Yes, it is most likely the VSS. It is located on the tranny but I cannot say where.
