Default first collector imput wanted

this is the first collector i have ever built i got like 8-10 hours in it aney imput on how to improve this for my next ones would be greatly apreciated im hopping to get my jig all figured out so the pieces fit a little better they had 1/16 gaps in places. also aney imput on my welds would be apreciated im welding them with a lincoln sp125 so its pretty maxed out. i tried to notch everything before i welded this helped greatly with penitration.

i need to clean it up i polished the inside thenwelded the cap in the center and the splater got all over the iside again

looks good for your first collector, why did you put that cap on the top tho? Is it because you couldn't weld down in there with the mig gun?

welding the inside is easy with a mig. The trick is starting at the top and working downward. Some how I pull off the best beads on the inside, vertical seams dispite limited room and a bad gun angle.
