Default DIY black HL housing Q?

Hey, I want to get rid of the ugly chrome on my headlights. I have an 04 EX sedan (4dr EM2), and I found a really good DIY guide on honda-acura.net for blacking out EK lights.

I was wondering if the 7th gen 4 dr headlights can be taken apart and painted.

Looking at the coupes and EKs and everything I can clearly see the difference between the housing and the reflector part of the assy. But looking at my car, I can't see that as clearly. I just wanted to know if anyone out there knew if I could apply the typical "blacked out headlights" DIY guide to my vehicle.

Any help would be dope.

P.S. - Sorry for making a whole new thread for this, but I want to make sure so that I don't end up having to buy a brand new set of headlights for no reason.
