if you have an obd0 ecu, all you need to do is take off your ecu cover plate by the passenger footwell, and turn your motor to the on position (don't turn on your engine, just make sure your oil light comes on once). the ecu should flash once to tell you its on, then flash again to tell you which number the code is. a short flash is 1, a long flash is 10. so if it flashes: long, short, short, short, short; the code is 14...and you can search for ecu codes on hondatech...an easy way of resetting your ecu code is just pulling the ecu fuse under your hood out for a minute and putting back in and restarting your car...

Yes and No. That depends on the ecu. I remember my pm9 and pm6 ecus used to have only short flashes. My p28 ecu now flashes long and short. This leads me to believe that obd1 and newer ecus have short and long flashes while all obd 0 ecus have only short ones.
Also, you can have multiple codes. There could be 5 flashes, then a pause, then 3 flahses, pause, 5 flashes, 5 3 flashes. That means you have a code 5 and code 3.

Start pulling... really hard. I believe i took out a plastic screw or 2, but it was mostly pulling that got the job done.
