lows 13s to mid 12s.

 

@ 10 psi and slicks you should be around mid 12's with that setup.

will the 14b be efficient @10 psi in the 8000 rpm range

just wondering because i can get it clipped for high rpm, cheap, or will this stock turbo feed enough air when vtec kicks in.

I am just afraid that since on my brothers DSM the 14b would stop making power at 6500 to 7000 rpm, just dont want to waste money on custom manifold and piping and find that the turbo spools up fast and jerks head off and then the dies off at vtec (or does it?)

i feel your pain, i have the exact same problem, not with the same turbo though
only way to know is to read a comp map, or try it out.. or know somebody who has tried it.. hth

personally, I wouldn't bother getting a custom stuff JUST to run a 14b. If you want a mitsu, get a small 16g, or better yet, a 'big' T3 or a T3/T04E 4X trim depending on the spool char you want.

I'd look at the compressor maps before you fork out the dough.

I don't understand the the spool charts. So can someone just tell me how to read those charts because i don't see Engine rpm to turbo rpm so i can see what trim is efficiant for my car @ 8200rpm. Don't understand trim

If someone could tell me what i need i would appriciate it.("dailydriver") I would like to run a t3/t4 with stock injectors say 7psi (w/12:1FMU)for now then move up to 310's(w/8:1FMU) when i get more cash, ("Racetoy")then in the future rebuild my motor to handle 20lbs+(w/hondata or AEM) for street cruising or track racing
