Default So close to getting my turbo kit finsihed but ran into a welding snag

Well I'm so close to getting my turbo kit finished, all I have to do is get my charge pipes welded together and that is all. I called every where in my hometown to welding aluminum. One place said that they don't do welding pipes b/c its to hard. I even asked him if he could do it anyways and he said that he was afraid to do it. I mean Afraid to weld pipes together how hard could it be? One quote said that it would be a couple hundred. This is ridiculous. No body can weld up aluminum for me. Should I just run with silicon tubing till I go to college in a couple more months and have someone over there weld it or suck up the couple hundred and get it welded together? Or should I scrap the aluminum and get some mild steel Till I can get it aluminum welded?

This is what i would do

Plenty of places that can hook you up with the right charge piping in mild steel.

I don't want to waste my 150 dollars for my bends and stuff. GREAT News is that I found someone really cloes to my house that does weld aluminum I'm going to his house tomorrow and showing him the pipes

If you can mark the pipes where they need to be welded together and the pipes fit tight, you can send them to me and I'll weld them for you. Just hold the pipes together and make a triangle with a marker across the joint where the pipes come together than number the pipes to match.

Will be way cheaper.

Good luck with the pipes.

Dude, your cool. I'm getting the estimate tomorrow and hopes he can do it. I think he might do it for free but I'm not sure.
