Default Hoses for this Air Intake...

Alright guys, I just bought a 4 Door, Accord EX, V6 and I'm beginning to upgrade some things. I just bought an intake system to replace the stock box. The one I bought is this...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...9608&rd=1&rd=1. It comes with a pipe for hoses and a pipe without hoses. ...what do the hoses connect to?

Please don't insult me, I'm teaching myself about engines and such. I made sure I got one that had both pipes because i know i'll probably need the one WITH hoses eventually. Thanks

Not sure what the other one does but one of em runs to the breather valve on the top of your valve cover.

the intake has a place where you plug your vacume line into. thats how you will hook up the intake. the second hose will replace your other stock hose that runs coolant throught it, i dont have a pic of that but when you install that hose on top the seccond one is connected to it.. if that makes sense

Actually, I installed it. The stock rubb tube leading to the air box had to hoses connected to it. Therefor, I ran the two hoses to the aluminum pipe the same way.

I test drove it and it sounds like a truck almost! When I'm not applying to much gas, it isn't loud, but when I accelerate, it's much louder. This is normal right? I'm pretty sure it's done correctly.

Sounds like you got an SRI. If you did, yes there will be a noticeable change in engine tone. This is normal

The following is what I purchased. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1 No instructions so I had to figure some things out myself. Mainly, making sure the hoses connecting to the chrome pipe were tight, so I made my own modifications to keep them on there tightly.

Hmmm that intake looks interesting. I can see a short ram but i dunno bout cold air. Usually i think the elbow is bent more for a Cold Air Intake. Can you post pictures of how you put it in? What year accord is this?

Yea i kno on the driver side. Is the airbox directly across from the TB? and is the hole for the CAI right under the Airbox?? I couldnt find a pic of a V6 accord motor to verify.
