Default unexpected turbo gift

yesterday i was helping a friend of mine change his turbo in his talon and as we were working i go you should rebuild it and make some money off it . To my my suprise his answer was "actually i was gonna give it to ya for helping "i couldnt belive it . It needs rebuilt , but that a hell of alot cheaper than a new turbo , i just have to start looking around for all the other parts . im not positive but i think it is an evo 3 turbo . I dont have it yet so i cant check for sure . Just thought id share with everyone , cant wait .
From what ive read i dont think its the best turbo for a b series but hell its a turbo

ive been doing some searching and rebuild kits go for about 100 to 150 , i know of two people that rebuild them , but i am considering doing it myself . It doesnt seem to be a really difficult job and i feel im mechanically inclined enough to have a good chance of doing it . Has anyone done this before , is it harder than im thinking it is ?

Ive been pricing out other components for a turbo kit . Im thingking about a johny race car intercooler like 160 dollars then bov from cheap turbo think one one i was looking at was around 200 they have a cheaper one though . and for a turbo manifold im not sure about that yet , i have to find out exactly what turbo it is for the flange . might go with an fmu with dsm 450 injectors

im not sure about the wastegate its internal . would i just need a manul boost controler or a spring to regulate boost .

For tuning i already have turbo edit not installed but the program ,chips all that good stuff but if i have the money id like to switch to obd1 and run hondata s200

Ill post pics of the turbo when i get it im guessing ill have it bythis weekend or monday hopefully

im aiming to have this done by mid -end of summer money is a little tight so well see have to pay for cruise in march lol
