Who's attending the Devens N.E SCCA Tour?
#170 SM here. We will be at least 7 drivers from Montreal area making the trip. Is the course map available online somewhere? Or top secret until the event?

I'll be there with my co-driver; 77 and 177 STS. This will be my first tour event.
I've got some a new GC / Koni setup on it's way to me as we speak (my purchasing dillema: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1279382). Hopefully I'll get it in time to install and do some test / tuning before the event so I don't get spanked too badly.

#44 STS here.
this is a reminder that there IS a strict sound ordinance at Devens. turn-outs will not work here. if you are worried that your car might be too loud fix it now. i myself run an exhaust that is 20lbs too heavy just to make sure i pass sound.
also, the town that devens is in is small. the police force is very active on weekends. BEHAVE! EVERYWHERE!!!! speed limit in town is 25mph and most of 110/2A is 35mph. be cautious if you have a slightly noisy exhaust on your car as well. it would also be a good idea to yeild to pedestrians even if they haven't entered a crosswalk yet.
finally, if you are planning on knocking over the dunkin donuts in the morning be aware that the army guys usually go there too and the place is typically understaffed for the volume of customers. plan accordingly. alternately, there is another dd's on 110 just after you get off Rt 2. (for those that aren't staying in town)
feel free to ask any questions about the event. if i don't know the answer, kC, GTF, or r2x might. if not, we can relay the question to those that do. looking forward to seeing a bunch of the h-t guys!

Are you trying to scare away any competition?
J/k Nate......
That's some good "inside" information.

just trying to provide a little local knowledge so the out of towners can have an enjoyable experience. it sucks when you plan on eating breakfast at dd's and discover the army guys are there and just ordered 21 bagel sandwiches.
the cops aren't as bad as my post makes them sound. i've only been stopped for the "failure to yeild to pedestrians" despite a rather noticeable car. :knock on wood: however, the police station IS right next to the site entrance and STS competitors ARE louder then they are fast. just raising awareness. i'll edit my post if you'd like (and can edit out your quote)

*edit* and since EPrepCivic hardly ever posts on here i forgot to add him to the list of people that can answer any question about the event.

What? Does that mean no drunken street racing on sat night? I bet if we bribe the cops with some donuts, they'll let us race.
Or maybe not. Ah well, guess we'll just have to stick to the drunken part this time.
Montreal crew is coming down with plenty Canadian beer and the Tour event is just an excuse to drink with buddies. And besides, Daddio, Rodney and co. will kick our butts anyways. So more beer is good...

So I'm assuming everyone will have to tech regardless of having an NER annual tech sticker?
Are the run groups split up between days, or does everyone run both days?

everyone runs both days. yes, you'll need to get tech'd even if you have an NER annual tech sticker. you'll also need to make sure you have all the necessary stickers if you don't have them already. (tirerack banner, scca solo2 sticker, etc) some of these stickers cost a buck or two, so make sure you bring some of your strip club money.

TireRack banner? I'm guessing that's the one I've seen across the windsheild of some cars. Is that a 'static cling' deal? There weren't any at the merch table when I picked up my stickers and rule book a few weeks ago. I didn't realise that was required as well.

The Tire Rack winshield sticker is complimentary, and of permanent stick adhesive. After doing these types of banners for years, they really aren't a big deal to put on and take off.
BTW, I'll be there with the GS Celica, since no time to give TLC to the Civic lying in purgatory in the garage. Preparedcivic Jr. will also be running in his FJ1 kart.
I haven't been to Devens in a while (2001). Is the site still accessed the same way - turn past the Dunkin Donuts, through the fence and the road turns to dirt?

Through the fence, bear right at first fork, and up the hill to another gate.

the road off Rt 2A is Bishop Road. Procede through that gate then like AutoXer said bear right at fork, go up the hill and to another gate to enter the site. after you go through the second gate there is a short section of graded gravel but no dirt road per se.
