I see some civics around with totally clear tail lights. how does this work for your brake lights? Do you use a colored bulb or something?

 

most people use a colored bulb and get pulled over because the bulb illuminates pink,try getting some of those led bulbs they looks better. but i havent seen anybody with clear tailights in years

stay with stock lights gives the car a cleaner look i think thats why i removed mine and its not rice

 

Yes, they use red colored bulbs for the break lights, and amber bulbs for the turn signals.

 

honestly, i've seen these being sold on ebay, but i've NEVER seen them on a civic before. yeah, i would guess u'd use colored bulbs though.

 

lol..FAD, and ricey! you mine as well cook some rice and slap them on to your tail lights, makes them look white, but not toatlly clear! J/K.

id suggest you get the BEST and BRIGHTEST red LED's out there and amber bulbs. But remember cops aren't that dumb anymore, so GL not getting pulled over.

I used to have them, and then I decided to smoke them. I took them off and I still have them laying around, I put my OEM ones back one.

Colored bulbs solved the problem.

 

cool, your lucky, cops in my aerea arent dumb, smoked light even more of getting pulled over! as you can see the link in my sig is my ride. smoked headlights, AND backlights. so dark they matched my civic. guess what i had EVERY cop harrassing me! and please make fun of my donuts!! hahahahah........

stock = clean, and nicer... i would recomend the red and clear - gives it a jdm look to it and gets orange out of way.

The amber is hot on the EG tail lights.

I never got pulled over for my smoked tail lights.

 

i have clear tails, but they have red tint on the outside bottom and grey tint on the rest, red is vivid, tint is a light shade, works well w/ silver car...i have stock tails, but never got around to installing them

true, amber does look pretty good as well. i cant stand those clear tails w/ red circles... everytime i see it... i just knodd my head, but i mean i'm not against it, i believe everyone should have their own style, but i'm not for that. i like stock/jdm look. makes it look strong, and sharp

I agree...but then again I view buying JDM tails for mad money "rice" too.
Just keep your stocks. If ANYTHING, buy the red/clears.

 

2000 called, they want their clear tails back.

This belongs in GDD or Appearance and Cosmetic.

 

clears are out but i still like the all red ones. The stock tails are fugly with the orange turn signals. Solid red is the my fav.

 

red and clear, all red, and all clear = ghey!

but get LED blubs for the break lights. i always laugh at the guys with pink break lights :-P

JDM is just as ricey. So instead of getting a ugly *** cheap body kit or something, you get RAPED and pay for "luxury" rice...but I guess those $300 gauge clusters add +50 whp

Now that everyone with an EK has the 99-00 red/clear tails, I'm really starting to dig the 96-98 coupe tails with the amber. Looks real good.

jdm isn't rice - its the stock japanse look... and it doesn't look gay or lame - barely changes the exterior. plz explain what rice means to you
