got into an accident
Well i got into an accident, and the car doesnt start. The guy from the body shop said he checked the fuses and the battery. But the car still wont turn on. He said it might have short circuited. How would i go about fixing this? Thanks

okay.... well you aren't actually telling us anything. Did the car attempt to turn over or just do absolutely nothing when you turn the key?

Same thing happened to me not too long ago - at the end of march - but lucky for me, car runs perfectly - just have to take it to a body shop so they can work their magic.
So - i'm assuming since you took it to a bodyshop guy - the car is already "fixed" right?
I'm asking to see if you're able to pop the hood or not.....
Or are you trying to get it to run so you can take it to the body shop?....i'm lost.

ya we need more info. what happened? what kind of accident and what did you hit? it sounds like your battery, positive battery cable, or main 100 amp fuse is bad. check the battery with a car battery charger. look at the cable coming off the battery and going into the fuse box. and check the 100 amp fuse. its the little blue box with a clear top thats being held down with two screws. no need to take it out, just look through the clear top and see if the copper has been broken or not. WE NEED MORE INFO ON YOUR CAR!
what type of information? ahah well the battery works. cause the alarm is the only thing that turns on in that car. i rear ended someone. i havent checked out the car yet. but the guy said he checked the battery n stuff thats all i know.
pictures would help - so we can see the affected areas caused by the damage... apparently your starter isn't getting juice tho - otherwise it wouldn't be "dead dead" as in completely silent when you try to start it. that's why everyone is suggesting you look at your battery, and leads - both positive and negative. as well as associated fuses. it would be easier to pinpoint what might affected by damage in a certain area - if you posted up a pic or something.
naw. im payin for it. it cost me $2,000 to fix it and paint the whole car in\out a different color. I dont think its the battery, cause the alarm works. Its the only thing that works. The car wont start. It doesnt even make a sound when you turn the ignition. Im goin to get my car back next week so if someone can help..HELLLLLLLP lol. thanks

you should check the fuses under the hood and in the car by the clutch pedal, and the starter too. it's good to hear that your car is still protected by an alarm though. it can't be your battery if the alarm is still working. i am personally leaning towards the starter or main 100 amp fuse. good luck!
