after installing a freshly rebuilt motor?

i sometimes get white smoke out the exhaust at idle and sometimes if i rev the motor, more smoke will come out.


motor has 275 miles on it so far.

compression is around 210psi across

no loss in coolant

found some oil spots in the IM

 

Your rings prolly aren't sealed yet. What fluid did you instal the pistons with? What are you running for oil?

i didn't install the pistons, i had it done by a friend.

non detergent 30w oil

 

sounds like your rings haven sealed yet, are you using oem rings or aftermarket. Oem's seal in a very short ammount of time, aftermarket "chrome " rings can take alot longer,.

 

i'd like to know this as well. just installed a set of hastings for my 82 mm rings. but ****, i only have 32 miles on the motor.
