bonus firewood.

Um......??

Wanna tell us what car this went to? This is just A random car part for all I know.

Can we assume its to a 92-00 Civic engine/transmission/body?

That's 100% not a valve spring. Depending on the size, it could be a couple things, but without the make/model/engine I can't even begin to consider what they would be. Also, a size reference would be nice.

Exactly. The engine model is going to help us determine this part.

lmao... wtf? Where'd you find it? What were you rebuilding? Have you drove your car through a pile of parts? Did you find that in your sister's room? I have no clue because you gave no details.

So it would seem. I'd love to help this guy, but he's not reaching out very far to grab the hand of God that is Honda-Tech's knowledge base

lol, its a b16 head and a b18a block. It used to be a b16 but i cracke da bunch of rings. so i pulled the blown b16 and put the haed on a b18a and put it back in the car.

For some odd reason i didn't htik of looking through the helms, i'll give that a shot.

THe spring fits into the bolt type deal. I am totally amazed that you guys dont remember this part. Its very unique and i can't imagine placing it in your motor and never remembering what it was.

That's not a tensioner spring at all. The tensioner spring on a B- or D-series engine looks like a carburator linkage spring, i.e., tightly coiled in the middle, a long hook at either end, very thin wire construction.

It might be part of the VTEC system that fell out when he was moving **** around, of course he hasn't told us whether or not the engine runs or actuates VTEC or hemhorages oil or anything, so who the **** knows?
