Need help finding a prelude owner.
No idea if this is going to get me banned, or whatever else.....but I'm stuck over in Iraq, don't exactly have access to dmvs like I would like, and i'm trying to find a particular car. It's a 1993 Honda Prelude, SI, metallic black, I sold it to someone that lived on Camp Pendleton some time ago, last name of Aguilar. I want to say he was headed towards NY, but don't quote me on that. Had a combat body kit, CF hood on it, and a few other minor things done, like Motegi rims, cold air intake.....kit was pretty chewed up from the shitty Cali roads....CF taillights....had SP Engineering decals on the quarter windows, but those of course, could be gone, just like any of the other mods by this point.
Like I said, just trying to find a location on this car/guy.....any help would be appreciated....and flaming me would at least keep me entertained while i'm over here.
Oh yeah....looking for him, cause he still owes me 3,500$ that was never paid when he took off with the title.
Also, I'll be going about it the legal way when i get back from this hellhole, but I thought maybe some other honda owners might have spotted it, or know the guy.
Thanks.

How you going to sell someone a car and not get any information on them? You deserve to get shanked if your that dumb. Well you don't deserve it but it's still pretty dumb.
Him: Left the Marine Corps shortly after I gave him the car, and he was needing a vehicle to get back to his home in NY (if that's where it was).
Me: left for Iraq two days after the deal, needed to get rid of the car, since I couldn't put it in storage.
Had to do a similar thing with my Pathfinder the time before. Got in a wreck, was on a plane less than 24 hours later, had to sell it to salvage for 350$. Didn't have the time to work out paper work, or even argue the price really.
Sure, I coulda done a few things better, and deserve a shanking or two for some of them, but I had little time, little opportunity, and did what I could.
Besides....generally the guys I work with and live around for a long time, there's usually an amount of trust and whatnot....guess I trusted this guy too much....so much for being a brother in arms and all that crap.

Hey, thanks for the support
Couldn't find anything, except that it was registered shortly after I sold it...location just says California. That was through Autocheck.com, anyway. Not sure if Carfax would give me an address or anything else....from what I remember, it just gives basic detail as well.
Oh, and the guy's first name is Leonardo. Leo for short, of course....
Kinda thought with as much as everyone checks out other cars and like to comment on them....that someone would end up spotting him...maybe i should just give it some time...

Lewdin', sent you an email with the vin. If that doesn't work, I have the license plate, and can do a reverse address look up for that...just costs more money than I wanted to spend tracking this guy down.
Speaking of which.....awesome...Leonardo and the way of invisibility. Ironically, this guy was kinda short and round like a turtle, too....

Just forwarded it to you. I kinda glanced over it before I sent it - didn't say too much but hopefully it will help out at least a little.
This is likely too obvious to be any help, but have you tried using whitepages.com? I just tried running and his name, and came up with only 19 resutls: a handful in California, and one or two in Texas.

I have thought about whitepages, but since phones arent' always available over here, I wasn't really wanting to call all 19 Leo's, to see if one of them was him.....I've got some buddies in the Marine Corps admin department, seeing if they can find an address for him....so maybe that will narrow it down, and i can use white pages to get his number. I'll definitely be letting everyone know what the outcome is.
Lewdin, thanks for the carfax. Looks like i was right, and he did register it in NY. Since there was a whitepage listing for an aguilar in NY, I could try that one first, see how it goes....

They can go online in iraq. They have computers and such. They DO have free time ya know. Not shooting people 24/7. They have to provide some sort of communication with their families - they even have military email addresses.
Haha...yeah...we do have some free time over here. By the way, I'm a Marine, not a soldier.....though technically, they don't have to provide us with communication to our familes, just where I'm stationed, has a lot of benefits.
I'll try zabasearch and theultimates, see what I can find. Going to have one of those private investigator sites do a person search for me....maybe that'll narrow it down a bit....
Thanks again for all the help, guys.
By the way, the reward still stands, if anyone feels like trying to find him before I do....
Here's all the info I know:
Leonardo Aguilar
last known address: Bldg 14010 (i think), Camp Pendleton, CA 92055
Car vin: JHMBB2258PC014291
Last known vehicle license plate: 5DHG297
Vehicle last registered in Valley Stream, NY.
