anyone ever run turbo and nitrous on stock sleeves?
just curious if anyone runs turbo and nitrous on stock sleeves? if so what is your setup? i'm in the process of a build and i was just thinking of how it would hold up and if it would be hard to tune. nothing big just like a 50 shot on top of the turbo. let me know.
Sleeves should be changed around 450whp....the number is arbitrary. It's really how much heat and cylinder pressure you are exerting, but no way to determine exactly without a round about HP number. If you are thinking about over 450whp then sleeve it
its really all in the tune, someone a few weeks ago hit 530whp on stock sleeves. If you have the money sleeve it, if not just be careful. I personally plan on a 50 shot on my turbo setup only because the systems already in the car fom my old setup so I might as well use it.
well it will probably have a decently high cylinder pressure, because i have an 18g turbo right now and i plan on running around 18+psi in order to achieve my goal of 300-350whp so i'll have to see how that works out before i will know if i want to put a small shot on it. i was just wondering if it is harder to tune the nitrous when it is being forced in by the turbo.
off topic- what kind of egt temps should forged pistons withstand with stock sleeves?

I ran 12.40 @118.8mph on 9psi and a 75 shot with no problems. This year since I finally got bigger injectors, I am going to be running 18psi+ and a 100 shot on stock sleeves. Once you do both (nitrous and turbo) you will never go back. I love doing things that people say you cant do
