ZC 5 speed Axles in a 91 DX Hatch?
You should use the ZC intermediate shaft and 90-93 integra axles. You will also need to remove the dust seals from the inside of your dx hubs.

Another Wrong post about the ZC swaps.
You CANNOT use the 86-89 Int. shaft or Axles for a ZC swap into an EF.
You can only use 2 different Intermediate shafts, The original ZC one, or a Halfshaft from a 90-91 Civic Wagon AWD with a 1.6L not a 1.5L which are common everywhere, And yes they did make them and it has the same Part# as the ZC int. shaft, but they are rare.
You can get a BRAND new one from Majestic Honda online for $137.00
And you can only use the 90-93 axles....but of course if the halfshaft from the wagon is the same I presume you could use the axles from it as well

you could use accord xsi axles from 3rd or 4th gen accords, they are a little stronger than the integra ones, but i dunno if they use a intermidiate shaft or not someone prolly will comment.
but i have a xsi one on the passenger side. but the easiest most common is prolly just 90-93 teg axles

that is also right, i found this out the very hard way, when i first got my zc i broke an axle in the school parking lot, so we brought it over to autos shop. I ran to autozone and bought a 89 teg axle. went back and put it in. When i was putting the nut on the end of the hub i noticed the axle threads were not coming all the way thro. being the dumbassess we were i was just like oh it will come closer when we tighten it. so we did and it did but it pulled outta the trans and i didnt kno. i started pulling outta the shop and turned the wheel to the right and i heard the worst noise ever. rolling backwords i see the 3 bearings and grease on the ground. i called myself stupid and went and got another 89 tegaxle. thinking they gave me the wrong one. i did the same thing an hour later. then compared it to the one that was in there and i was only about 1-4 inch shorter.
long story short Buy 90-93 axles

Now for the bad news... That intermediate shaft is on Honda national backorder with no date for more parts. Anybody have any other ideas for the intermediate shaft?
Been there. I found the bolts to attach the shaft but no shaft. I will start calling the jdm suppliers and see if something is avaliable.
If not there either try going to http://www.thezcr.com Im a member..And put up a WTB post for a DOHC ZC int. shaft.
