Not sure bout the HF
The DX is linear rate
the Si Progressive
Any Rack with Power Steering would be quicker, but harder to turn

Because of the skinny, low rolling resistance tires it was equipped with originally, the steering on the HF is actually quicker than on the Si.

Thats pretty self explanatory. I wonder if the ratio's are different for the other racks. Good find though, its definetly something to look into.

You should be able to put any of those racks on your DX. My Buddy put a Si rack on his DX and has no problems.

the hf rack is rated as the same turn to lock as the dx rack. the si rack is less, and it is progressive.

As far as I know:

dx/hf/std = 3.9 turns
Si = 4.1
All ef power st. = 3.6

yeah, DX and HF have the same part number. i always heard HF's had the quickest ratios in particular, but its the same as DX. Si does have the rack cut progressively. I've seen it open.

progressive means the ratio changes as the distance increases. its not the same throughout.
