Default Newer AC from 96 Civic fit in CRX?

hey guys, Im swaping a b16 into my CRX, im trying to keep it as comfortable and streetable as possible. I dont mind spending more here and there with better then stock results. Anyway. I would like to put a the newer AC system into the EF,

So I can put in a Half Rad, and still retain my AC.

I know Hasport Makes a Bracket for the Compressors. So I dont forsee space being a problem.

Not to mention the AC would be colder as well,

Can I somehow retrofit the AC lines, and compressor, condesor into the EF?

or is it completly impossible with out alot of fabrication???

Whats wrong with regular crx ac lines? i think the only major difference is the type of freon(sp) used..?

yah, I DONT think you an use the CRX AC lines with the new freon. I know the seals need to be changed, and If im going thru all that trouble, ide replace all the lines.

ALSO in the new AC lines, there actualy bigger in size. I dont know if that has to do with the Refridgerent used.

I dunno. i heard there's a kit that has to be installed or "retrofit" to use the newer freon.

the retrofit is just an adaptor for the R134a bottles so they'll fit an R12 system. Basically just drain the R12 out and fill up with R134a. What he's looking for here is to swap radiator and evaporator to the half size units. I'm thinking about this myself as my CRX has one of those aftermarket AC units on it and it sucks.

i had a retrofit done and all they did was replace the compressor (b/c the old one litteraly blew up on the freeway), flushed the system and put the new refrigant in. cost like 950 or somthing. no problems for over 2 years and it blows at 35 degreas on a 103 day :D
