Auto shifts at 7500 when it's supposed to be 6800
Hi
I have an auto integra and it is supposed to shift at 6800(when i floor it) but it goes to around 7500
and even when i try to make it shift starting from 1 and going up it only works from 1 to 2 but even when i do that it takes about 500 rpm to respond
what could the problem be?
Thanks in advance.

just let off the throttle for half a second, and throw it into 2nd.
I have an auto civic, autos are GREAT for bracket racing. I could care the fu** less if someone can beat me on the street, lets take it to a track and I will come out with CASH!!!
I have made over $2k in my short carrer bracket racing. Fu** all the ignorant 5-speed owners. I would own a auto again anytime!

LShbVTEC: Congrats! YOU'RE USELESS!

Auto trannys are not going to shift as soon as you put it in a different gear (i.e.: D2 to D3 to D4). That's why automatics are slower in that respect. If it was neck snapping quickness, it would be on par with a manual, performance wise. That's why they're slower.
As for your car shifting in a different rpm level, I will say that when my car was an automatic, the tranny shifted at different rpm's almost all the time. When I floored it, half throttle, etc. It was different all the time. It depends on what speed you're going before, if you're stopped, etc.
Automatics are weird....hehe.

smp534: you have a DAMN good point. I never thought of Autos like that before.
Sounds like the tranny just wants to have some high rpm fun.

well i know it's not the fluid and about the shifting for 1 to 2 etc... my friend also has an auto ls and his responds better when he does it. i'm not tlaking about the speed of it shifting i'm talking about it's response and how long it takes to start shifting.
