I was thinking of putting a pressure switch in my boost line that would kill power to the engine if it see to much boost. like boost creep? and the same deal for low fuel pressure. any ideas? thanks I have the pressure switches i just wanted some ideas from others thanks

 

what would you cut? the ignition? I guess that could work. if the switch saw over XXpsi of boost, then you could cut spark. i dunno if there is really a need for this or you're just trying to use some switches you have lying around...

 

well my first motor blew to boost creep. i have a tial wastegate but i dont want it to happen again. I figure if the ignition is cut then ill be fine.

 

i dont think its a good idea,cause if u kill engine like that,when it comes back on after boost returns too normal level,you will get a huge backfire in your exhaust,if you dont believe me,try when your cruising,lets say on the highway or when your getting on it,turn your ignition off then back on again,see what happens,i think a better idea would be to have the switch pull all the timing out of the engine if the boost spikes instead of turning ignition off

Or kill the + wire to the injectors...... Hondata does this as a boost cut.

 

killing the positive wire to the injectors sounds better. hum.. maybe an idea thanks
