Just wondering what you guys use to re hone your cylinder walls. I was thinking about getting a flex hone so I can hone the wals on my single cam motor but wasn't sure which one I'd need. Would a 76mm hone work?

You would need a stone hone, no harsher then 400 grit. I've heard 600 grit works best.

 

The is the hone I was referring to. http://www.flex-hone.com/Index...s.htm Just wondering if a 76mm hone would work on a 75mm bore. (Which is what a D series motor is right?)

 

Don't forget to ask the folks here how to properly clean the cyl. after you hone.

Wash the cylinders with warm soapy water, immediately oil to prevent rusting.
