compression #'s on a JDM h22
Trending Topics
yeah jdm is 10:6 compression. those are some pretty high compression numbers. i got mine tested about a month ago and no where close to those numbers i got like 210 on cylinders 1-3 and 185 on cylinder 4.
i believe i did it right because i did the exact same thing as in http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...t.php
higher numbers are better then lower numbers but yea i know its kinda high for a JDM h22a i was thinking 240-260

does ne1 know the fuse number (underhood fuse box?) to pull so that you don't put a bunch of fuel in the cylinders while testing? I think i'm gonna do this tomorrow.
i dont think that there is one on the preludes or integras, but i may be wrong, i just did mine, didnt remove any fuse, just take all the spark plugs out, u only have to crank a few times, and let it dry out

It really doesn't matter. You don't have to disable the fuel. I did one on mine without disabling the fuel. Just disabled ignition. Its not like your car won't start after
You're only supposed to bump the starter 5 times each. Won't dump that much fuel in the cylinders.
Oh, by the way. I got 230 across

yah i ended up just bridging at the starter - thereby bypassing any form of fuel injection... ended up with great numbers on my jdm h22a, cylinder 1 was like 250, 2 = 240, 3 = 240, 4 = 240, that's with 5 cranks.

the fuel pump fuse is on the interior fuse block. there should be a chart on the door. I think it's a 15A beside only one other fuse on the top part separated from the rest of the fuses.
for comparison on my USDM H22a: starting with 10:1 comp, 245 across
not sure what ratio that converts to but I have a thinner HG, JDM shortblock and +1mm ferreas
