Omni coil-over spring rate question
i'm 90% sure i want to switch my suspension from Tokico Illumina's/H&R sports to Omni Power coils. But i want front/rear to be damn near the same as i'm not going to upgrade the stock sway bar.
The US Omni distributor/warehouse can and will give me any combination of rates from 12-10-8-6
normal for street is 10K/8K (560F/448R)
matched spring rates can be done:
10K/10K (560/560) or 8K/8K (448/448). I want to make it more neutral but obviously don't want oversteer. 10K/8K i think will keep the car to front heavy
Also keep in mind i do not plan on upgrading the stock 13mm rear sway bar, so thats why i'm thinking of matched spring rates.
i'd do 10K front, 9K rear if they had it
any input? the distributor dosen't think its a good idea to match spring rates, but the EL is heavy in a way so i do not want understeer, but it is also very important to not get oversteer (i don't feel like drifting on 401 off ramps thanks, lol)
but i think 10K front/8K rear is still keeping the front too stiff/heavy which i think will lead to understeer to easily. if i go 10K/8K i know i'll just end up with a 22mm rear sway bar and i don't want to dish out the dough for that when i'm buying the omni's anyways.
car is Canadian only Acura 1.6EL (96-00 civic sedan but alittle heavier)
