ipod, iriver, or dell?
Well i cant decide on an ipod, iriver or dell so i thought id ask you guys. I am mainly wanting to use it in my car but it will be nice to be able to take it out when school gets going again. I am leaning towards the ipod because i am running a pioneer DEH-9600mphttp://www.pioneerelectronics.....html.
I am wanting to run pioneers CD-IB100 which hooks directly up to the ipod and lets me control everything from the headunit, not to mention it charges the ipod as well. The only thing that turns me off from the pod is that i think they look like **** and the bang for buck. The iriver is soooo much cleaner looking, especially the display, and dell offers the same thing for like 50 bucks cheaper. Plus i heard the iriver has better sound quality. I am not wanting to spend a shitload but if i buy the ipod and pioneer adapter im looking at around 400 bucks.... your feedback is appreciated

.</TD></TR></TABLE>If you want that control from your HU you will need the iPod, more and more manufactures are coming out with iPod adpt. for there HU, I think the best HU/iPod set up is the Alpine KCA-420i, [iPod interface] and a compatible Alpine HU, although there may be ,I have not heard of anything for Iriver or Dell although you can get AUX input adpt. and FM Mod adpt. for all of them although SQ is poor at best with FM Mods, and the same goes for headphone to RCA adpt. by far the best SQ is with the Alpine set up.

Yeah the alpine is probably true, although i have never been a fan of alpine. I know pioneer isn't the best HU's but i have used them for 10 years and i just love the look of the HU itself. I also know how to work everything on these HU's cuz they dont change the **** around a whole lot every year. Plus i just got this hu so i dont want to have to sell/change it out and all that. I think i am leaning more towards the iriver. I am just gonna use my aux. Is the sound quality as bad as fm modulated via the aux??
AUX input will sound better then FM Mod, but unless you can find an adpt. that uses "line output" instead of the headphone output SQ will be a problem for both the AUX and the FM Mod, although a little better using the AUX.

Im running a pioneer HU with the pioneer CD-RB10 adaptor and the pocketDock line out (http://www.sendstation.com/us/products/pd_lineout.html). Sound quality is great and its easy to install.
what about this one? http://www2.buydig.com/shop/pr...UCH40

They will only work if he has an AUX input on the HU, fi he only has a CD changer port, then he will have to get the CD port AUX adpt. for his HU.
