omni coilover with koni yellows
You cannot use coil-over sleeves that are not specifically designed for Koni shocks. Koni uses a special spring perch that will fail if used with coil over sleeves. Special sleeves that sit directly on the snap ring (that the koni spring perches would sit on) have to be used, otherwise the snap ring will fail, and your car will crash to the ground...
Ground Control or Koni brand sleeves are what your looking for...

I thought Koni yellows come with that cup looking thing like on most other struts? I don't see why you'd be able to put a spring on that and not a coilover sleeve.

There's no logic in buying KONI Yellows and then trying to make them compatible with Omnipower coilovers, Omnipower coilovers are a full coilover and it would defeat the whole purpose of buying an individual shock such as KONI yellows and then trying to match them up to an adjustable coilover, such as omnipower. As far as I know omnipower doesn't make springs or anything, they just make a sport and street verison coilover....so I don't know where this false idea is coming from, KONI and omni no matchy.
i asked cause they sell then omni coilover sleeves ones on ebay..so since its almost like the GC that has sleeve what is stopping the use of other coilovers?..welll just askin..kinds on a budget so im lookin for ways that will work good...

Omni coilover sleeves homie..

IMO, don't cheap out on this part of your suspension. Especially if you get cheap parts and they blow, you have to buy all new stuff. It's vital component of your car, if you don't have the money, be patient and save so you can afford the GC's. It's your car, but that's my opinion.

if you read the warrenty stuff you will see that this is not the correct way to install sleeve type coilovers onto koni struts. There is a thread in this forum were some one incorrectly installed omni sleeves onto koni's the way you described and guess what? just like koni said would happen, the circleclip failed.
the ground control coilover have two special types of sleeve for koni's, both of which work great.
IMO its really stupid to spend money on some of the best dampers out there, and then cheap out with the crappy springs. Get some Ground controls, then you will have a VERY VERY good start on your suspension.

Do you think that it will fit on the omni coils..?
Do you think that it will fit on the omni coils..?
You won't know for sure unless you can find out the inner diameter of the Omni Springs. The GC sleeves are made for springs with a 2.5" inner diameter. I'm pretty sure Omni's are metric, but they might be close enough to still work safely...

I'm confused?? What parts are you getting for free? If you're thinking of using free omni springs and buying a set of Koni specific GC sleeves it's not worth it. Just get a full set of GC's with the good springs that they come with (Eibach)

then you end up with shitty springs.
