Default Need some serious help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok ive just swapped a b16 into my 91 si, and I have two problems. 1 is that for some reason or anohter my wheels will not spin. I used 91 teg axles, but i did have a rough time getting them to fit in to my hub, (nearlly had to hammer them in) so is it my axles or what. even with the car in gear they wont do anything. I do remember though that they spun freely when they were connected to the tranny(but not to the hub), and they also spun freely when connected to just the hub(i tried both to see whats up). could it be i have the wrong axles?, my 2nd question is can aluminum be welded?, the part where you put on the shiftlinkage on the tranny broke off, so now i cant place the linkage on there( not the movable part, bu the one that bolts to the tranny and doesnt move) oh just to let you guys know im using a j1 tranny. Any help yopu guys could provide would be much helpful, becaus right now im screwed and dont know what to do.

peace

Did you take off the metal ring on the hubs, and the black spacer on the hub end of the axle? As for the shift linkage mount, ya sounds like you're screwed! You can get aluminium welded, but it won't be easy to find someplace that will do it. Look for a metal supply shop/welding/fabrication.

Aluminum can be welded. How do you think they put intercooler pipes on intercoolers? It may be harder to find someone who can weld it, but it can be done. Also, I second the rings. That's got to be what it is. Can you turn the hub a little bit without the bolt tightened?

ok you need to find someone that tig welds. DO NOT try to do anything by yourself, tig welding is extremly dangerous. the fumes are toxic.

and i don't know the answer to your first question
