Default B16 to 1.8l StrockerKits good idea?

A fiend of mine asked me about a b16 to 1.8l strocker kit.
Do you regard is as a good investment? Any oppinions or ideas what I have to take care about in such cases?

Suggestions are very welcome!

Thanks

I'm not a big fan of stroking. Remember that the B16A block is shorter than the B18C block. And stroking it to 1.8 liters will result in a poor rod ratio. This will decrease revvability and increase wear. It would be better (and probably cheaper) to increase displacement by upgrading to a B18C bottom end.

Doesnt sound like a bad idea imo. Most get a ls or gsr block and go that route with the stock crank though.

Add that to a crower or eagle crank

You will not have a bad rod ratio. It will come down to the pistons. You can get a custom piston that will raise the wrist pin on the piston. I just Built a B16 using a LS crank, and B16 Rods. We had JE custom make the pistons for us. YOu can even get it to where you can use LS crank and LS rods. Or GSR crank and GSR rods. I just decided to used the B16 rods though with the LS crank.
