ITR number significance.

hello,guys,
what does the number found in the "TYPE R" plate located near the handbrake mean? Does it link with the chassis,engine or VIN number??

look for "Badging - Limited Prod. Number Assigned to ITR" in the FAQs !!!

There's a bunch of info leading a bunch of people to believe that the badge numbers on ITR's has no connection with vin # etc.

As far as production #'s actually being true IE ITR 01-0001 being the 1st made in 01, no one knows.
