Just a quick note to remember that if you intend to go to the track with your car, a lot of organisations (including NASA Mid Atlantic) require that the instructor/passenger has the same protection the driver has.

Good point! Ultimately it's the passengers/instructors decision And I've never had an issue. But many have made it known that they will Not ride without equal protection.
Another point is; that once you go to a fixed back seat it's not always easy to find ones that allow proper placement of the OEM seat belts. Which leads to installing harnesses, which then leads to the neccessity of rollover protection, and adequate padding, which leads to not really having a safe ride for the street without a helmet.
But I digress.

I remember at the very first Hype-R-Fest, one of the older BSR instructors got in the car with me, and it was the first time he'd met me.
I asked him twice if he wanted to use the harnesses, but he said no, he'd just use the OEM belts, even though he could see I was using the harnesses. I guess he had been on Hyper Drives all day or something.
I'm sure it turned out to be less than the most pleasant experience for him. After two laps, he made me pit in, and he yelled at Cobetto across the pit wall that I was going back out by myself. LOL....
